Minneapolis Range Repair
RANGE REPAIR TIPS
- Make sure the gas valve behind the unit and the gas valve by the furnace are turned on.
- Unplug the unit for 2 minutes and plug it back in to reboot any circuit boards.
- Clean the burners if they won’t ignite correctly.
- Don’t run cleaning cycles before big cooking events, they cause problems (the cleaning, not the event — well, those too).
- Turn the breaker off, and then back on, to verify it’s not tripped.
- Record any error codes you see.
- Make sure the unit is plugged in — plug a lamp into the outlet to verify it has power.

"I couldnt find or feel any shocking when i touched the range in many different places. I checked the back of oven to check the bake element terminals since i did replace that last time, and found that the power cord terminal block did short out (see picture) with the suppressor board. Would need terminal block, noise filter (suppressor) board, power cord.(Could that cause the shocking?)Customer would like to get a discount since we were out recently and Ivan had completely misdiagnosed oven and had long delays for repairing.PW: how do you want to handle this? If they approve estimate please order parts and reschedule customer.; saved tckt"

"Customer states the unit is not getting up to the correct temperature. Removed the racks and checked the igniter, found the igniter had a low amp draw, cycled and tested. Found the unit only got about 130 degrees before the gas valve cut out. Found the igniter was on no gas. Unplugged the harness to the valve and plugged back in. Found corrosion on the one terminal. Plugged the unit back in and turned on the unit preheated, opened the door and checked the unit did not have any issues.

ORANGE FLAME FROM ALL 4 BURNERS. Customer said its not every time. Tested burners and flames are blue. I started preheating oven and it lit and flame looked good. I think its probably a humidity issue in the house. I explained to customer that orange flames can just be from high humidity in the house.
